Day 13 of the 10k Challenge

It’s a cold, but sunny today in Toronto at -3°C (feels like -9°C). Started the morning off with four cups of coffee, a bowl of oatmeal with banana, protein powder, cottage cheese, and raw almonds, and a scoop of BCAAs mixed with water pre-workout. After experimenting with different types of breakfast over the past 12 days, I’ve found that oatmeal has given me the most consistent energy over the duration of my workout and I typically pace better overall than having just a protein shake or banana and eggs. Today, I decided to go a different route – I ran north up Jarvis to Rosedale Valley Road, south down Bayview, then back to the Distillery through the Canary District. I’m about ¾ of the way through The E-Myth: Revisited, and got lost in my thoughts for several kms today. The run went by really fast and the temperature was perfect; not too hot and not too cold.
