DAY 68 OF THE #RUN70 MILEAGE SERIES

Screen Shot 2017-07-23 at 7.33.13 AM.pngToday’s run was terrible to say the least. I caught a stomach virus (I think) on my way back from Portland which has been causing shooting pains in my stomach, and I feel very tired and weak. Toronto’s weather was really hot and humid at 23 (definitely felt +30), which didn’t help. Mentally and physically, this run felt excruciating- every kilometre was painful and slow, but I got through it! My best friend, Kayla biked to meet me at the 18k mark and brought water and an apple. This stomach virus has significantly decreased my appetite making it hard for me to get in the calories I need to energize me on my run.

My pre-workout meal was small. I only had a Vega smoothie with banana, spinach, almond milk, and mixed berries.

This was my worst run of the challenge by far. Only 2 more days left in the #RUN70 Challenge! Really hoping tomorrow’s run will be better..

Paced my slowest so far at 6’55km/11’08mi after 2 hours 28 minutes and 48 seconds.
