Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 8.48.02 AM.pngI literally jumped out of bed this morning in anticipation of Day 70 (the last run of the challenge). I cannot believe I made it this far. Remembering the first few days of the challenge being so terrifying. Feeling anxiety and fear that I wouldn’t be able to do it – especially since I announced #RUN70 on social media and told all my friends and family. There was a lot of pressure to complete it! Today’s last run of the challenge wasĀ an open invite for runners in Toronto, friends, and acquaintances to join. The turnout was incredible and I got the opportunity to meet some amazing individuals. Some ran 5k, some biked, and others ran the full thing with me!

Weather was cooler and overcast with a little bit of rain at the beginning and end which I found to be quite refreshing. We ran my regular route – west along Toronto’s waterfront trail to Parkdale before turning around, going back east and ending in the Distillery. It was truly an incredible feeling to be done, but more importantly, have so many amazing people come out and support this challenge. One of the runners had never done a 21.1k in her lifetime, but managed to do it today! Another was recovering from a bad injury and was really hurting, but he still continued to push through and finish at a great time.

For the people who wanted to be part of Day 70 (but running wasn’t their thing), joined us at the Mill Street Beer Hall for celebratory drinks and food. Couldn’t of had a better day!

As a group, we all paced great today atĀ 5’54km/9’29miĀ after 2 hours 7 minutes and 31 seconds.
