DAY 46 OF THE #RUN70 MILEAGE SERIES

Screen Shot 2017-06-30 at 8.10.07 AM.pngMy runs this week haven’t been the best and I blame feeling low energy on the weather. It’s been raining all week and I’ve felt more tired than usual. This morning was not an exception. The forecast called for rain all day, although it was warm at 18°. I wore my old shoes that I ran exactly 20 half marathons with – my other pair feel shot and feet have been really hurting this week. I think my old ones still have a few runs in them left and feet felt much better today.

My pre-workout meal was scrambled eggs on a whole wheat wrap and a french press of coffee with some cashew milk. It was raining lightly for most of the run, but started to pour around the 17k mark. Not one of my more pleasant runs.

I think mentally this week has been the hardest and had a lot to do with the weather and my old shoes. I haven’t been excited or motivated to get myself out the door and it’s more of a forced effort. I’m really hoping the weather gets better for week 8 leading into July!

End pace was slow again at 6’5km/10’05mi after 2 hours 14 minutes and 5 seconds.
