Today was the first day (1/70) of my attempt to break the world record of running 70 consecutive half marathons (21.1k/13.1mi) everyday.  Each day I will be uploading my runs through Garmin Connect – an app that does not let you adjust your mileage and also be using my Nike Run Club app for accuracy. I was super nervous starting the challenge and during the run all I could think of was what the hell did I get myself into? Running through the city and stopping at a million lights definitely slowed my pace and took me over 2 hours to complete. I ran north up Mount Pleasant to Eglinton, West to Yonge, South then west to Leslieville and back around to finish off in the Distillery. My legs were sore and I was starving by the 17km mark – it’s definitely going to take some time getting used to.

*Follow my journey as I run 70 half marathons consecutively on behalf of Oneiric to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. Any donation big or small makes a huge difference. To Donate, visit our #RUN70 GoFundMe Page.
