This morning I had a Vega smoothie with Icelandic yogurt and berries and 1/2 G2 pre-run and a vanilla Powerade energy gel at the 13km mark. It was supposed to rain today later this morning so I decided to started my run at around 7:30am. Weather was warm at 11°/12° with a bit of rain towards the very end of the run.

I ran along Hurontario to the highway then down the Waterfront Trail then turned back around at Marie Curie park. I felt pretty good for most of the run, but a little sore and stiff around the 16-17k mark. I’m also not used to running this length – it feels super long and boring at times, but started a new audiobook to keep me entertained. I was pretty nervous last night thinking about how my body was going to react to running so much mileage each day, but decided to take it one day at a time.

End pace was similar to yesterday (slow) at around 5’50km/9’23mi and finished after 2 hours and 4 minutes.

  1. I cannot believe you are doing this! Keep up the great work Em! You’re a rock star. And next time we get together, I’m getting you your own plate of nachos at Sneaky Dee’s to make up for the calories that you’re burning….
