My legs felt a lot better this morning, but my feet were starting to get sore from my running shoes. I ordered a new pair last week off Amazon which should arrive any day now – the Nike LunarRacer +3 is the only running shoe that I’ve been using for distance road running and have been using them for about 4 years now. Nike has actually discontinued them so I have to order them from Amazon US (paying $150-200 CAD/pair).
I overdressed and wore a running jacket thinking it was going to rain, but the weather was overcast with some sun at 16° for the entire run. I’m back in Toronto this week so ran west along the beautiful Waterfront path and turned around Roncesvalle.
I switched up my pre-workout meal this morning and had steel cut oats with strawberries, Vega powder, cottage cheese, and soy nuts. I ate 1.5 hours before my run and felt super hungry around the turnaround point (10.5k) and less energetic for the remaining 10.5k
I was joined by my awesome Co-Founder (and best friend), Kayla Nezon and my dog Ellie for the last km. I lucked out – it started raining as soon as I got back. Below is a very unflattering picture of me đ
End pace  was better than yesterday, but still pretty slow at 6â27km/10’23mi after 2 hours 17 minutes and 32 seconds.
