Today’s run was a bit tough – my legs felt stiff and weather was really hot at 21°. I paced really slow and my run felt longer than usual. I woke up pretty hungry this morning so I had my regular pre-workout Vega Chocolate smoothie with banana, spinach, egg whites, almond milk, and sun flower seed butter as well as a handful of crackers and some deli meat.
There as a few interesting things that happened on my run today. I saw two bike riders that had fallen off their bikes. One hit a curb and flew right in front of me – I stopped to see if he was okay (it was a pretty bad fall). Luckily he was wearing a helmet and said he was fine. I also saw a friend I hadn’t seen for a while running by Parkdale and stopped to say hi.
In my last few kilometres I had another close call with a bird attack. One of those black and red wing devil birds swooped down and cawed angrily at me, but I managed to duck and dodge it at the last second haha.
Hoping tomorrow’s run will be better. Slow end pace at 6’28km/10’25mi after 2 hours 18 minutes and 19 seconds.
