After yesterday’s rough run, today’s was a lot better. My legs felt stiff and a bit sore again today so I paced really slow. Weather felt hot and humid at 24°, but I had a nice chat with my mom over the phone. She had just gotten back from a trip to Vancouver so we had a good time catching up for at least an hour and a half.
After I went to the Jay’s game last night, I ate a lot, or shall I say “carb loaded” 😉 – pizza, a calzone and chicken wings. This morning was one of those days where I didn’t feel hungry at all and had to force myself to eat. My pre-workout meal was an energy ball and a Vega smoothie with almond milk, 1 full egg, kale, hemp powder, and a banana. Immediately post-run I drank a pre-mixed drink with 32g of protein.
Tomorrow’s run is a big one (the real halfway point of #RUN70) and I’m so excited to hit this amazing milestone. All downhill after that!
End pace was very slow at 6’22km/10’14 mi after 2 hours 16 minutes and 49 seconds.
