Screen Shot 2017-05-26 at 12.34.44 PMAfter yesterday’s horrendous weather, running conditions this morning were perfect. Overcast with a bit of sun at 15° – I was comfortable in a long sleeve and spandex shorts.

Pre-run meal consisted of a protein shake with banana, yogurt, spinach, and egg whites..Not the best thing I ever drank, but it did the trick!

My legs felt pretty good with mild soreness at the back of my knee. As part of the challenge, I mentioned we’d be challenging some influential people in Toronto. Today, we challenged Chakameh Shaffi, the CEO and Co-founder of TranQool, a Toronto-based company that provides seamless and cost-effective access to high quality therapy. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Chakameh – she was named as one top 30 under 30 in the Bay Street Bull Magazine and one of Canadian Business Magazine’s 2016 Change Agents. She joined for part of the run (despite her sprained ankle) to help spread the word about #RUN70.IMG_0681-1.JPG

I had a bit too much wine last night and felt it this morning, but despite that I was happy with my pace staying pretty consistent at 5’52k/9’27mi after 2 hours 5 minutes and 22 seconds.

*Follow my journey as I run 70 half marathons consecutively on behalf of Oneiric to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. Any donation big or small makes a huge difference. To Donate, visit our #RUN70 Canadian Cancer Donation Page.
