Screen Shot 2017-06-04 at 6.47.14 AMI started my run a bit late again this morning (around 10:40am) and finished just before 1:00pm. Weather was perfect – sunny and hot at 18-20°, but had a nice cool wind which prevented me from overheating. I decided to switch up my route a bit for this morning’s run to try and avoid the birds. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I was attacked by a bird twice so far in Port Credit along the Waterfront Trail and have had a few close calls as well. I came across this sign this morning right where I got attacked for the first time haha. IMG_0827.JPGI did a double loop from Lakeshore down Hurontario to the highway then back again (4k per loop) then ran east along the Waterfront Trail. My pre-workout breakfast was the same as yesterday except this time I felt hungry around the 18k mark and stomach started growling. A Vega Chocolate Smoothie with banana, spinach, almond milk, egg whites, peanut butter, and blueberries.

Since today marks day 20 of the #RUN70 challenge, here’s a recap of the results so far:
Distance: 467.33 km / 290.38 miles (11 marathons)
Time: 251.82 hours
Calories Burned: 31,029 (8.65 lbs of fat)
Total Money Raised: $935

Legs and body are still feeling good and keeping consistent with my recovery routine of stretching, ice on sore parts of my legs + knees, and the foam roller.

End pace at 6’04k/9’46mi after 2 hours 11 minutes and 13 seconds.

*Follow my journey as I run 70 half marathons consecutively on behalf of Oneiric to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society.
