I’ve been leaving a bit later on my runs (around 9:30-10:00am), but since the weather is getting much hotter, I’m probably going to start going earlier again – between 7 and 8am. The weather today was pretty hot at 23°-25°, but there was a cool breeze by the water and some shady spots along the Waterfront Trail.
My pre-workout meal was a banana with sunflower seed butter and a grilled chicken breast wrap, which kept me full and energized. My legs felt good this morning and I could’ve paced faster. I’m getting close to the half way point of this challenge, but still have a long way to go so I’ve been forcing myself on some days to go slower.
I listened to my audiobook An Evil Mind and chatted with a friend that I haven’t seen for a few months which made the time of by faster on today’s run. I was also excited to relax and have some beers by the pool after my run.
End pace was 6’24km/10’18mi after 2 hours 16 minutes and 21 seconds.
