Today has probably been the hottest and most humid run I’ve done so far at 28°. My legs felt really good and I managed to keep most of my splits around the 6’00 mark. I do have some pretty hilarious tan lines from all the sunny daytime runs I’ve been doing (will post a picture sometime soon so everyone can have a laugh).

My pre-workout meal was another Vega Vanilla smoothie with spinach, cashew milk, eggs whites, and banana as well as a bowl of cereal. I finished with another smoothie immediately after. I am noticing that I’ve been losing muscle mass and am trying to up my protein intake to keep my muscle intact. It is difficult however (and expensive) to fit in so much protein in a day.

I started my fifth audiobook of the challenge, Little Black Lies by Sharon Bolton. All the books I’ve listened to so far have been awesome and have definitely helped the time go by faster. As I mentioned in one of my other posts, having a book to listen to gets me excited to get out the door and start my runs. Also helping my mind relax while running. I’ve been putting music on the past few runs around the 19km mark or so to pump me up – pushing me through those last few kilometres at a faster pace.

End pace was good at 5’58km/9’35mi after 2 hours 6 minutes and 59 seconds.
