Screen Shot 2017-05-21 at 12.49.34 PM.pngI slept in a bit today and was worried about the weather – it was calling for rain all day and was thundering this morning before I got out of bed. I headed out the door just before 10:00am and completely lucked out with no rain!

This morning’s pre-run breakfast was the same as yesterday’s- a Vega smoothie with banana, blueberries, and almonds which gave me good, steady energy throughout the run. I finished my book The Kind Worth Killing (which is amazing and so twisted by the way) that kept my mind very entertained during some of the long, boring parts of my runs this week.

Today was especially awesome because my girlfriend joined me for the whole run! This was the longest she’d ever run and pushed herself – definitely exhausted by the end of it.

IMG_0578.JPGExcited to have finished (and survived) my first week of the #RUN70 challenge, logging in  150.19km/93.32 miles in my first week. Today’s final pace was consistent with the rest of the week at 5’56k/13’43mi after 2 hours 8 minutes and 9 seconds.
