Yesterday’s run was awesome. Today..well..sucked. My right leg was sore behind my quad and I paced really slow, worried that if I pushed too hard I would strain my leg and make it even worst. I stopped a few times along the way to stretch which definitely helped, but couldn’t stop thinking about how much longer I have to go and how I can’t get injured this early on in the challenge.

Running conditions were really good. It was cool and cloudy at around 9° when I started around 7:00am then increased 14° when the sun started to come out. I ran from the Distillery District down the waterfront trail which is always beautiful.

My pre-run meal was pretty skimpy as I was rushing out the door and didn’t have any protein powder to make a smoothie. I settled with a banana, 1/2 G2, and 3/4 cup of Icelandic yogurt (definitely not enough to energy to last the duration of the run).

I didn’t push myself too hard today and am hoping my legs will feel better after tomorrow’s run. My end pace was the highest it’s been so far at 6’15km/10:04mi after 2 hours 12 minutes and 49 seconds.IMG_0620.JPG
