Day 7 of the 10k Challenge

Today was another freezing day in Toronto -7°C (feels like -17°C) so I decided to hit the gym and do another 10k on the treadmill instead of run outside. I switched up my pre-workout meal and had oatmeal with some protein powder and peanut butter instead of my regular protein smoothie. I felt a lot more consistent energy throughout the run and kept my pace less than 4′30/km for most of the 10k. I can feel myself getting stronger since I started the challenge on Sunday and was very happy to see that I got my best 10k time at 42:33, pacing at 4′12. I listened to one of Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy sessions which was perfect for interval training. Feeling happy and energized today at the one week mark 🙂
