Day 8 of the 10k Challenge

I had a hockey game this morning at 8:45am and wanted to squeeze in my run before the game so I can just relax the rest of the day. I woke up at 5:15am this morning, did some reading and work for 45 minutes, downed some coffee and BCAA’s, bundled up, and headed out the door for the 8th day of the 10k challenge. The temperature this morning was -10°C (feels like -17°C) which instantly hit my face as soon as I stepped out the door. I had pretty good energy throughout the run, but felt my energy rapidly decline at the 8k mark as I didn’t eat anything this morning before my run. Feeling a bit store from yesterday’s sprinting and interval training on the treadmill, but still managed to pace pretty well at 5′30-5′45 including stoping to tie my shoelaces and taking a few different photos. This is the earliest I’ve completed my challenge so far – looking forward to my second week and pushing myself to pace better.
